Agapito Pete Lebron Jr., 41, of Colonie, passed away on April 30, 2025, due to a kayaking accident while fishing on the Hudson River. Pete was born on April 30, 1984, in Bellevue Hospital, in Manhattan. He was raised in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Tampa/St. Petersburg and Sebring, Florida by his loving aunt Elsie Brignoni, grandmother Germana Brignoni and great-grandmother Carmen Alicia. As a teenager he relocated to Albany, New York to reside with his older brother, Nathan Lebron. He found his calling as an expert plumber and worked for various local companies in the Capital District and the North Country.
He was a gentle soul who loved animals, nature, and outdoor sports such as rollerblading, skateboarding, mountain biking, snowboarding, archery and fishing. Pete had a great love for music and found it to be an answer along with marijuana to cope with life's struggles. He really enjoyed anime (especially Naruto), Marvel/DC movies and anything related to science fiction. He was loyal, honest, selfless, charming and you were very lucky if he considered you a friend.
He was predeceased by his father, Agapito Pete Lebron Sr., his brother Nathan Lebron, and his good friend Herb Vasquez. He leaves behind his beloved little sister Heather Young, his other siblings Evelinda Lebron (Benjamin), Margie Lebron, Marlene Maldonado (Rafael) and Taina Cruz, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He had many close friends and mentors including Robert Stark, James Alcombright, Victor Alcantara, and Motoki Hikita. Pete was a devoted friend/brother/son to his sister-in-law Charlotte Lebron, who will miss him dearly.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Service of Remembrance on Saturday, May 31, 2025 in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Avenue, Albany, NY 12203. Calling Hours will be held from 12 pm until 2 pm followed by a Celebration of Life at 2pm in the funeral home.
