Angelina Demita Barone

Angelina Demita Barone, age 96, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 12, 2026, at her home in Halfmoon, New York. Born in Corona, Queens on December 31, 1929, she was the cherished daughter of the late Angelo Ralph Demita and Maria Pucharelli. 

Over her remarkable 96 years, Angelina’s journey took her from Corona to Long Island, and eventually to Upstate New York, where she spent her later years as a resident of Halfmoon. Angelina lived a vibrant life filled with passion. She was an avid enthusiast of sports and horseracing, finding great joy in the thrill and excitement of the racetrack. When she wasn't following the horses, she could almost always be found cheering on her beloved New York Knicks on TV, rarely missing a game. 

Above all, Angelina was devoted to her family. She is survived by her two loving sons and their families: her oldest son, Vincent Barone and his wife Carrie, and her youngest son, Jeffrey Barone and his wife Jasmine. She also leaves behind a legacy of love in her four adored grandchildren: Elizabeth, Mandi, Gabriela, and Jason. Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and everyone who knew her.
