CHATHAM –

Anne Lynne Harrison, 58, of Chatham, passed away on April 8, 2026, at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn. Born in Bronxville on April 22, 1967, to Shirley (Lau) Coward and the late William Coward, Anne was raised in the community she would later serve so deeply.

A 1985 graduate of Taconic Hills, Anne earned an Associate Degree in Public Relations and a bachelor’s degree in Equine Management from Johnson and Wales University. Her deep-seated love for the land and animals defined both her professional and personal life. As a founder and co-owner of Country Life Real Estate, Anne was a pillar of the Columbia County community. Her passion for real estate has brought such joy to so many that she helped find there forever homes. She was honored multiple times as the County’s top Real Estate Salesperson, known for her fearlessness, determination, and exceptional understanding of land.

Anne’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was raising her daughter, Sarah, and watching her grow into a strong, independent woman pursuing her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Together, they shared a profound bond over their love for animals—from nature hikes and Dairy Queen "pup cups" with their dog Otter, to annual vacations at Misquamicut Beach celebrating Sarah’s “gotcha day.” They also cherished staying active together through kickboxing and other fitness activities. Anne’s second great love was her horses—Laggy, Funny Guy, and Gertrude—spending countless hours at the barn and on trail rides with Laggy, her kindred spirit.

Anne was known for her generosity, her beautiful smile, and a warm sense of humor that will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah B. Harrison, and her mother, Shirley Coward. She was predeceased by her father, William Coward, as well as her maternal grandparents, Charles and Emma Lau, and her paternal grandparents, William and Marjorie Coward.

In accordance with Anne’s wishes, she will be cremated, and her ashes will be spread in her favorite places where she created her best memories with Sarah. A Celebration of Life will be held in early summer.

The family wishes to extend special thanks and acknowledgments to Maria Ostrander and Michael & Renee' Harrison for the special love and care provided during this difficult time. Gratitude is also shared with Linnea VanTassel & Philip Feiner, special friends and co-owners of Country Life Real Estate, for keeping "business as usual," and to the staff at Phelps Cancer Center for the unconditional love and care provided to all their patients.

In lieu of flowers, Anne requested a Continuing Education Go Fund Me Account be set up in Sarah's name.
