Obituary

SCHENECTADY –

Brian D. Plue passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, February 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and warmth.

He was a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School and the State University of New York at Cortland. An enthusiastic athlete, Brian played soccer and baseball, later continuing his love of the game with the Schenectady Baseball Club, and he reached the minor leagues in the Montreal Expos organization.

Brian was known for his quick wit and his ability to make people laugh. When asked how he was doing, he was famous for replying, “still short and bald,” a line that never failed to bring smiles to those around him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joan Plue and David Plue.

He is lovingly remembered by his siblings, Sandy Gordon (Bob Gordon), Vern Plue (Janice Plue), David Plue (Merri Plue), Jeff Plue (Karen Plue), Joe Pyskowski (Jill Pyskowski), and Jeff Pyskowski; his daughters, Kara Bartlett (Nelson Bartlett), Alyssa Plue, and Jenna Plue; and he was fondly loved by his many nieces and nephews.

Brian’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family, online at: SimpleChoicesCremation.com
