NASSAU - Carol E. (Vath) Pellerin, 82, of Nassau, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2022 at St. Peter's Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born in Albany on July 19, 1939, Carol was the daughter of the late James and Doris (Harrigan) Kane. Carol was born into a big family with 6 brothers and 5 sisters. She is survived by her children: her son Faustin Vath and daughter in law Jacqueline, her daughter Joyce and son in law John Chowenhill. Carol is also survived by her grandchildren: Kayla Vath, Nova Vath, Michael Chowenhill, Shane Chowenhill, Crystal Chowenhill, and two great grandchildren Andre Chowenhill and Gabriella Radler. Carol was a devoted homemaker who loved to cook for her family. She especially enjoyed cooking with her grandchildren. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Carol's family wishes to thank the ICU Staff at St. Peter's Hospital for their care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
