It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clara M. Distel, 85, she entered heaven to be with our Lord  on October 18, 2018

She was raised in Menands living there most of her life before moving to Loudonville in the nineties.

In her earlier years Clara enjoyed working as a sales clerk at Tops Department store in Menands meeting and helping people. After her marriage she enjoyed being a homemaker, playing a major role in raising a great number of her nieces and nephews, the latest being her great niece Stasia Grzyboski with whom she had a very special relationship.

Clara was predeceased by her husband of many years Arthur Distel, her parents Stephen and Julia Grzyboski, and her siblings Jenny (Ed) Korzenowski, Benjamin (Muriel) Grzyboski, Anthony (Gloria) Grzyboski, Stasia Grzyboski, Jane (William Beaudoin) and Ann (Richard) VanAmburgh.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews including but not limited to Michael and Joan Grzyboski who cared for her along with the help of Lorraine (Grzyboski) Miller and her friend Linda and Bill Cooper.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Clara will be held in the near future.
