TROY — Darlene Leonard passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2023, after a one-year brutal battle with tongue cancer. She was known for her sense of humor and her many crafting skills. Darlene is survived by her sons, Michael (Jess) Leonard in Arvada, Colo., and David (Chase) Leonard in Virginia; her ex-husband John Leonard in Broomfield, Colo.; her sister, Teri (Michael) Rietfort-King in Frederick, Md.; and her brother, Jack (Gayle) Rietfort in Rensselaer. She was predeceased by her sister, Wendy Rietfort-Miller in 2012, whom she missed every day. Remembrance donations may be made to the Community Hospice at www.communityhospice.org.
