It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Theodore Lang, age 64, of Valley Falls, New York, who died peacefully at his home on January 12, 2026.

Born on October 17, 1961, in Ticonderoga, NY, David was the beloved son of the late Frank Gorman and Barbara (St. Claire) Gorman. He was a proud graduate of Troy High School in Troy, NY, and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy.

For 25 dedicated years, David applied his skills as an Environmental Services Supervisor for St. Peter's Health Partners. Beyond his career, his life was deeply rooted in family. On June 8, 1990, he married the love of his life, Denise (Dugan) Lang, in Waterford, NY.

David was a cherished brother to Kathleen Dame, Francis Gorman, and Patrick Gorman. He was predeceased by his siblings James Lang, Christine (William) Need, and Suzanne Valigorsky, as well as his son, Eric McGrath.

He leaves behind a vibrant legacy through his children, Tonya (Kevin) Mathisen and Christopher McGrath. David's spirit lives on in his grandchildren, Mikayla (Seaver Higgins) Mathisen, Hayden Kenton, and Lucas Mathisen, and his great-grandchildren, Daeli, Denver, and Seaver Higgins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
