CLIFTON PARK –

Mr. Delmar Donald "Don" Kilmer, 80, of Clifton Park, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY.

He was born on September 7, 1944 in Bagley, Minnesota to the late Delmar and Evelyn (Kurtzbein) Kilmer. Don was raised in Schenectady and later lived in Troy, he was a graduate of Schalmont High School and also, Hudson Valley Community College.

He was employed for over 35 years with R.F. Peck Co. in Colonie, NY. Don proudly served in the Army National Guard for 6 years and was honorably discharged in October 1971.

He liked fishing, bowling, jigsaw puzzles (since Covid) and most of all his summer trips to Hampton Beach, N.H. He also thoroughly enjoyed watching NASCAR racing.

Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Catherine (Roberts) Kilmer, whom he married on December 20, 1975 at Sacred Heart Church in Troy, NY. Don was a devoted father to sons Christopher Kilmer (Susan) and John Dingley (Heather). He was the dear brother of Connie Lain of Hawaii.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering for Don on Saturday, June 28, 2025 with calling hours being held from 2-4PM and a Service of Remembrance at 4PM in the Chapel of Simple Choices, Inc. & Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, NY 12180.
