Obituary
TROY –
Denise M. Campbell – Powell, 80, of Troy, formerly of Schenectady, passed away on November 14, 2023 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady with her loving family by her side.
The daughter of the late Foster and Catherine (Hannigan) Campbell, Denise was born in Schenectady on February 20, 1943. She resided in Niskayuna at the time of her death.
Denise was formerly employed by Desormo's Vending Company, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Sacred Heart Parish. She enjoyed flowers, birds and landscape gardening. Denise was a caretaker for many and loved a good laugh.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Powell, her two daughters: Susan M. McKeighan and Stephanie M. Burgess Securo. Her grandchildren: Jennifer M. McKeighan, Olivia C. Sheffer and Jameson M. Securo, and her great grandchildren: Zoe R. Kendrick and Allison B. Kendrick.
Denise is also survived by her siblings and their spouses: Terance K. Campbell (Eva Campbell) of San Antonio, TX; Nancy D. Munhall (Bill Munhall of Troy, NY).
In addition to her parents, Denise was predeceased by her former husband, Anthony L. LaBounty, her maternal grandmother, Nora Hannigan, maternal grandfather John Hannigan, paternal grandmother Mae Campbell; and paternal grandfather James Campbell.

Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30AM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in
St. Joseph's Church, 416 3rd Street (corner of 3rd & Jackson Streets) Troy, NY 12180
. Interment will immediately follow the mass in St. Joseph's Cemetery in South Troy.
In lieu of flowers, Denise's family would like donations in her memory to
St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
.
