NISKAYUNA - Eleanor Mary Giovanone, 99, of Niskayuna, NY and St. Petersburg, FL, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2022. Eleanor was a proud Navy Veteran and former volunteer for the St. Clare's Auxiliary and St. Helen's Church and School. She was married to her loving husband, Anthony Giovanone, for 55 years until his time of death in 1999. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Mary (Peter) Smith. Eleanor's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her children; Kathleen (Dennis) DeGennaro, Michael (Debra) Giovanone, and Angel Giovanone Cullam (David Putman). She was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Eleanor will join Tony in a private family service at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, FL.
