Eleanor Delores (Rea) Yonos, 92, of Shady Lane Apartments died peacefully in her sleep August 28, 2023.
A native of Schenectady, Eleanor is the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Rea and graduated from Nott Terrace HS.
Eleanor worked for many years with the Grand Union Company. Throughout her life Eleanor was a vibrant person with a great sense of humor as well as a caring, supportive mom. Upon retirement, she kept busy assisting with the care of the elderly as well as spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Gus J Yonos.
She is survived by her sons; Wayne Colwell of Albany NY, Keith Yonos of Cliffside Park NJ, John Yonos of Saratoga NY and daughter Karen (Cissy) Yonos of Tampa FL; grandchildren Alta, Travis, Kaley, Ashley, John Jr, Adrianna and Keith Alexander. In addition she is also survived by (12) great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. A special celebration and remembrance of her life will held at a later date.
