WYNANTSKILL –
Elizabeth Anne "Betty" Aucoin, 67, of Wynantskill, NY, formerly of Waltham, MA, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at home following a long illness.
She was born on November 26, 1957 in Waltham, MA, a daughter of the late Joseph Warren Curtis and Marie Pauline (Coye) Curtis. Known as Betty by family and friends, she was raised in Waltham, Massachusetts and graduated from Waltham High School (Class of 1975). Betty and her family later relocated to Wynantskill, New York in 2002. Betty was a dedicated homemaker, she raised a myriad of nieces and nephews for her entire family.
Betty was the beloved wife of 48 years of Roger Francis Aucoin, whom she married in Waltham, Massachusetts on May 7, 1977. She was the devoted mother of Justin Aucoin (Kate Sokol) Torre (Julie) Mastroianni, Sean (Haydee) Aucoin and Christopher Aucoin. Betty was the cherished grandmother of Austin King Aucoin; and the dear sister of: Susan Thackery, Ellen Whalen, Kathleen Carell and Virginia (Joseph) Aloia. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her sister Jane Marie Renna.
Relatives and Friends are invited to visit during calling hours on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 4-7PM in the Chapel of Simple Choices, Inc. & Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, NY 12180. All are welcomed.
