AMSTERDAM –

Ernest Abraham Yandell born March 10, 1935 passed away January 27, 2026 at the age of 90.

Son of Floyd and Ella Yandell of Schuylerville. They moved to Amsterdam in 1967 and started a dairy farm. Ernest was married to Joan Carol Elliott on May 6, 1956 for 69 years.

Survived by Joan, Alan, MisChelle. Christopher and Jordan Yandell. Father in law of Nancy Maples Yandell, Emily Steiger Yandell and Alicia Dobson Yandell Grandfather of Shawn Yandell, Melissa Yandell Bramer, Madyson, Ryan, Sophia, Hazel, Christopher Jr Yandell and Violet and Scarlet Gray. Grandfather-in-Law of Matt Bramer. Surviving family resides in Amsterdam, Jordanville and Ohio.

He valued family, honesty and hard work. A man of integrity, sincerity was faithful and trustworthy, always willing to help those in need. Loved the land and animals.
