Born in Troy, New York on March 26, 1949, he was the son of the late Everett James Manning, Sr. and Theresa Long Manning. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1969 and, in his later years, enjoyed reconnecting with fellow veterans and sharing stories of his service.
Everett is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline “Rang” Manning, Christine “CC” Wilcox (Kevin), Theresa “Frio Bean” Thomas (Gregory), Eileen “Babus” Barnes (Ryan), Michele “Mitley Bugs” Manning (Teddy), Maureen “Mo Mo” White (Justin), Meghan “The Bubblizer” Sandberg (Matt), and Carianne “Care” Manning; his grandchildren, Amanda (Mike), Jasiña (Alex), Emma, David (Norma), Corvus, Daniel, Tristyn, Natallie, Theodore, Joshua, Charlotte, Luna, and Ethan; his great-grandson, Julian; and his siblings, Theresa Schofield (Evan), Michael Manning (Nancy), Donald Manning (the late Melody), Thomas Manning (Jim), and Lynn Patanian (Derek). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, along with extended family. He was predeceased by his niece, Laura Manning. He was previously married to Eileen Manning, with whom he shared seven of his daughters, and to Alison Manning, with whom he shared his daughter Carianne.
Everett will be remembered for his love of the New York Yankees, his gift for storytelling, and a unique sense of humor that was unmistakably his own. His endless supply of dad jokes, whether welcomed or not, will not be forgotten.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Van Rensselaer Manor for the care, kindness, and compassion they showed Everett during his time there. A private funeral service will be held for the family.
Everett will be laid to rest with military honors at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on July 10, 2026. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Everett’s life on July 10, 2026, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at American Legion Henry Cornell Post 234 in Ballston Spa.
