Obituary
COHOES –
It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of Francis L. Verchereau, 87, of Cohoes, New York. He passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025 at the Hospice Inn at Saint Peter's Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Francis was a Navy veteran and a successful businessman, including: Globe Electric, Verloi Hardware and multiple real estate investments.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carol A. Verchereau, his children; Lisa Verchereau, David Verchereau (Nicola), Glory (Geoff) Rousselle and Sherry Verchereau. He was grandfather of: Jacob (Deandra) Verchereau, Luke Rousselle, Alex (Gabrielle) Verchereau, Drea Vanvranken and Gabrielle Verchereau-Greco. He was the great grandfather of Keira Verchereau and Archer Verchereau. He is also survived by his beloved dogs Cookie and Clyde.
