TROY – Frank E. Mayott, 69, of Catskill, formerly of Troy and Columbia County, entered into rest on June 11, 2022, following a long illness. The son of the late Hardick George and Clara (Swan) Mayott, Frank was born on August 10, 1952, in Troy, New York. He was a lifelong resident of Troy and recently resided in Columbia County for the last couple of years. Mr. Mayott was formerly employed as a Chef at Lombardo's in Albany for many years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed playing videogames and sports. In his youth, he loved to fish with his father. Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly A. Austin, his grandchildren: Cheyenne and Giovanni, his siblings: John Thorne, Anna Marcell and Winifred Champoux. He was the uncle of: Tanya Godfroy, Patrick Champoux, Donald Donohue and Grace Westfall. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by one brother, Giovanni Anthony Marcell in 2009. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Calling hours, services and burial will be privately held for the immediate family. A Celebration of Frank's Life will be held for the public at a later date to be determined by his family.
