Garris Lovell Slade, 45, of Troy, New York, formerly of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away at Albany Medical Center on November 9, 2025.
He was born on June 19, 1980 in Newark, New Jersey and was a son of Garris and Gwen Slade.
Garris was raised in Pawleys Island, South Carolina and received his education from Waccamaw High School. He was employed as a professional painter for many years.
Garris was known by his middle name, Lovell, by his family and friends. He is warmly remembered as quiet, soft spoken and laid back. Known as a "jack of all trades". He could build, put together, fix, paint, or draw anything. But most of all, he loved his daughter more than anything in this world.
In addition to his parents, Lovell is survived by his daughter, Aniyah Lynn Slade, as well as her mother, Jen Favreau (former partner and best friend).
