Gary A. Rowe-Acker, 70, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 after a long, valiant battle with cancer. His brother David E. Acker of Albany survives him. His mother and stepfather predeceased him: Mary A. O'Connor-Acker and Harold E. Acker. Gary was a former employee of the VA Hospital in Albany as well as Pie in The Sky and held various jobs in the maintenance field. Gary was also an acolyte at the Cathedral of All Saints and worked closely with Bishop Ball. A Memorial Service will be held to commemorate Gary's Life on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 7 PM at the Cathedral of All Saints (Episcopal), 62 So. Swan Street, Albany, NY. (next to the NYS Educational Bldg. between Washington Ave. & Elk St.) Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Many thanks to the staff of the Albany County Nursing Home for Gary's care.
