ALBANY –

Gideon Delali Goldmann, a visionary leader, global management consultant, dedicated philanthropist, and beloved father, completed his extraordinary journey on October 23, 2025, at the age of 51.

Gideon's journey began in Accra, Ghana, on December 6, 1973. His exceptional brilliance was evident from a young age. At Awudome Secondary School (AWUSCO), his academic prowess was unmatched, culminating in him becoming the first student to receive the prestigious E.F. Asem Memorial Award in 1991 as the overall best-performing student. He continued his studies at St. Augustine's College before embarking on a path of global education and impact.

Gideon was the true embodiment of a "life-long learner." His pursuit of knowledge was relentless and spanned continents. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from the University of Derby (UK), a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Northampton (UK), and became a Chartered Marketer with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). His drive led him to the pinnacle of American academia, earning a Master of Professional Studies and an MBA from Cornell University, as well as a Master of Technology Leadership from Brown University.

His professional career was as vast and impactful as his education. As the founder of Gideon Goldmann, LLC, he became a sought-after Ghanaian-American management consultant, advising on finance, technology, and strategy across the globe. His work left an indelible mark on public and private sector development, particularly in Africa. He played key advisory roles for the Government of Ghana's President's Special Initiative (PSI) for Garments, the World Bank, and NEPAD. A notable highlight was his role as Head of Central Banking at the Central Bank of Nigeria for the pivotal FSS Vision 2020 project.

In the United States, Gideon operated at the highest levels of the finance and technology sectors. He served as a trusted Cybersecurity GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) and IT Audit Consultant for several Fortune 500 clients and "Big-4" firms, including PwC, Ernst & Young, and Deloitte. His expertise was further recognized by a host of elite certifications, including CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, CDPSE, and Certified AI Expert. His executive leadership shone as President of WAG Inc. and Chief Technology Officer at Simply Pay.

Yet, for all his towering professional and academic achievements, Gideon's true legacy may be his profound and quiet generosity. He was driven by a deep desire to lift others, having never forgotten his own journey. He lived these values by building a home for his cherished mother, Elizabeth Adjei, and personally supporting the education of over 21 school children in Ghana and Nigeria.

His greatest act of philanthropy was directed back at the community that first recognized his spark. He established the Elizabeth Adjei Excellence Award at his alma mater, AWUSCO, naming it in honor of his mother to annually fund the university dreams of the next generation of top students.

Above all, Gideon was a devoted father to five children, who were the center of his world. He was a man of varied passions, from the intellectual challenge of Scrabble to the soulful expression of playing the soprano and tenor saxophones.

Gideon Delali Goldmann was a bridge-builder—between Ghana and the world, between complex technology and human solutions, and between humble beginnings and extraordinary heights. His legacy of brilliance, integrity, and boundless generosity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his five children and a global network of friends, colleagues, and mentees who will miss him dearly.
