WATERVLIET- Gladys Joan Brandow Molter, 82, of Watervliet, entered into rest unexpectedly on May 12, 2022, in the comfort of her own home. The daughter of the late Michael and Marie Spiers, Gladys was born on January 18, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York. Gladys moved to Catskill where she raised her family and lived for many years before relocating to Watervliet in 1995. She worked as a nurses' aide for many years and was previously employed as a manager of the White Horse Bar in Catskill. For a time she also ran a thrift store in Catskill and was very generous to those in need. Gladys was a happy, caring and giving person. She was an excellent mother who will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by her family. She married Robert George Brandow in Leeds, New York. Survivors include her daughters: Laurie, Karen and Bobbi-Jo, as well as many siblings, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Debbie. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. A celebration of her life will be held by her family at a later date.
