ALBANY –
Gordon Rockcliffe Wilson, 77, of Albany, New York, formerly of Supply Mahaica, Guyana, passed away at his home on November 4, 2023.
The son of the late Abraham Wilson and Verne Vera Wilson Charles (nee' Gravesande) Gordon was born on July 4, 1946 in Georgetown, Guyana.
Mr. Wilson was employed by the State of New York in the Dept. of NYS Record Center for NYS Education Department.
Survived by his wife, Candace Wilson, whom he married on September 24, 2022. Children: Gordon (Carlotta) Ronald (Karen), Michael, Dwight (Kimella), Petula, Tracy (Duncan), Bevon, Renee, Angelica (Unique), Kimberly and Chante (Marcus). Grandfather of: Quinsi, Kwame, Kiana, Felesha, Onikie, Patrice, Ciara, Jayden, Alex, Janae, Alexis, Mia, Tiara, Roman, Nhyoqui, Alaylah, Junior, Unique, Kion, Shiniea, Bevon, Krystal and Damien, and great grandfather of: Keyara, Treasure, Kimora, Alec, Nicquan, Laquan, Aiden, Elias and Ah'Naliyah. He was the brother of: Jennifer Wilson (Merthlan).
Gordon was predeceased by Nicola (daughter), Bianca (granddaughter), Maurice Moffat and Charles Wilson (brothers).
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Gordon's Family has chosen to honor his memory in private.
