Harriet Helen Snyder

Harriet Helen Snyder passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn. Born on August 27, 1947, in Hudson, NY, to her beloved mother Nancy Etta Fingar, Harriet spent much of her life in Rensselaer. She enjoyed a fulfilling career with Ket and Jelliff Products before relocating to Granville, NY, where she worked with ARC until her retirement.

A devoted gardener, Harriet relished the opportunity to prepare her harvest, often sharing her cooking with family. She was predeceased by her mother; her youngest son, Matthew Scully and his wife, Anna Mae Bridges Scully; her companion, Charles Priest; and siblings Maryellen Lasek, Irwin Fingar Jr., and Fred Fingar.

Harriet is survived by her children, Enola Woznack (Corey) and Joseph Scully Jr. (Colleen); her siblings, Nancy Snyder of Cohoes, Gail Klein of Clifton Park, Homer Snyder of Jefferson, and Susan Cleveland of Altona. She was a cherished grandmother to Douglas Brooks, Abriella Brooks (Jessica Faresta), Gregory Kennedy Jr., Ryder Kennedy (Jennifer), Nicole Manzer (Jim), Racheal Young (Matt), and Liam Scully Breedlove. She was also step-grandmother to William Mollenkoph, Katrina Snay, and Ricky Mollenkoph. Harriet maintained a loving relationship with her ex-son-in-law Greg Kennedy Sr. and his family, Meagan and Kimberly. She leaves behind many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Harriet will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
