Howard Lindsay Goold of Schenectady, NY- Howard L. Goold suffered a massive heart attack and died on February 10, 2015 at the age of 57. He resided in Schenectady. Mr. Goold is survived by his sister Sara Goold Horne and brother-in-law, Rev. Edward C. Horne of Westport CT; nephews David Merchant of New York City, Mark E. Wood of Johnstown, and William Horne of Westport, CT; niece Olivia Horne of Orlando, FL; many cousins and aunts, including Kathleen Stanley of Hawaii, Karen Hunt of Latham, and Corliss Goold of Latham, and an uncle, Roger Goold of Virginia. He was predeceased by his parents William and Barbara Goold, and three younger sisters. Howard graduated from Niskayuna High School and earned an Associate Degree from Hudson Valley Community College. For the last 30 years, he owned a construction business and was beloved by his many customers throughout the Capital District. He was always willing to go the extra mile in everything he did. A man of deep faith, he was a generous friend to the suffering, the lonely, and those in need. Overcoming many losses, he was kind to all whom he encountered. He was just beginning to make plans for building his own home when this tragic heart attack occurred. His family feels the sorrow of losing him, and sorrow that his own plans and dreams were cut short. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Howard's life on May 2 at 2:00 in the afternoon, at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 15 Ridge Place, Latham, NY 12110.
