Niskayuna- Ida T. Hillander, 94, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.

Ida was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late Peter and Louisa Bura.

During World War II Ida worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers, in NYC and NJ.

Ida is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Hans M. Hillander; their

children, Ellen Hillander, Christine Oakes; grandchildren, David (Liz) Oakes;

Kateri (Rob) Costello; Rachel Oakes and great granddaughter Natalie Oakes.

There will no calling hours and burial will take place at later date.

NY and The Community Hospice of Schenectady.
