BALLSTON LAKE –
Mr. James H. Cummings, Jr., of Ballston Lake, passed away on September 28, 2025 at the age of 91.
He was born on December 28, 1933 in Schenectady, NY to the late James H. Cummings, Sr. and Margaret Rudd. He was predeceased by his parents, stepmother Elsie Cummings, sister Sally, brother Frankie, and wife Lois (Empie) Cummings.
He is survived by his daughter Sue Cummings Boucher (Reg) of Sun Lakes AZ, his son Kent (known to most as Buck) Cummings, grandson Brad Boucher (Sarah), granddaughter Hannah Kirkpatrick (Chris), great grandchildren Knightley, Kanon, Kierland and significant other of 30+years Joan Koff.
Jim entered the Army in 1953 and returned home in 1955 with an honorable discharge to start his family. He was a car collector starting with two Ford Model A's, then Cadillacs caught his eye, followed by Corvettes. He also restored a 1941 Plymouth Coupe.
Jim and Lois made many friends in their 30+years in Amway. After her passing in 1994, he and Joan made many friends in the Square and Round dancing world as well as the motorhome club and their travels with both groups.
Per his request there will be no services. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, New York.
