ROTTERDAM- James (Jimmy) DiDonato, entered into rest on June 21, 2022. Born and raised in Rotterdam, James was adored by his grandparents, James & Anna DiDonato, as well as by his Uncle Atillio. From them, he experienced the immense generosity that he carried with him throughout his 80 years. He grew up in and was the proud owner of a family business, Bellevue Hardware, for much of his life. More than anything, he cherished his family. Jim is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Nardini) of 48 years. Jimmy and Kathy never left each other's side. He could not have been more proud of his children Phil and Elaine (Sheridan) and his son-in-law Brian. He loved his grandchildren Niklaus, Alivia, Gabby-Lou and Ciana…as well as his grand-dogs Lucky and Kody. Jimmy would do anything for his family and will always be remembered by them as the most selfless man they will ever know. Donations may be made to the Teresian House Foundation, 200 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, NY 12203, where Jimmy received amazing care and where Kathy will continue to have a wonderful support system.
