James J. Salmon

Glenmont, — With great sadness, the family of James J. Salmon announce his passing on August 5, 2026. 

He is survived by his beloved wife Madelyn of 64 years. He was the proud father of Judith Mastrocola, Jamie Salmon ( Raphaël Seghers) and Kimberly Salmon (Fremont). 

Born in NYC on December 9, 1933, he was the son of the late Carl Salmon and Emma Fiedel. He was predeceased by his sister Mildred Wegner. 

Jim served his country in the US Navy from 1952 until 1956. He then joined the NY State Police in 1958, retiring as a BCI investigator in 1993. He then worked for the Green County Public Defenders Office as an investigator.

Services will be private.
