Joann Youngs April 28, 1958 – September 6, 2026

Joann Youngs, 68, of Queensbury New York, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, at Glens Falls Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Joann was born on April 28, 1958, in Amsterdam, New York. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family. Family was everything to Joann, and she cherished every moment spent surrounded by the people she loved.

Joann was someone who was liked by everyone she met. She had a warm heart and a way of making people feel welcome. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and creating memories with her family.

Joann also enjoyed going to the casino and spending time playing slot machines. She lived in Bonita Springs, Florida, for several years, where she made many wonderful memories and enjoyed the warmth and beauty of Florida.

Joann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Youngs Sr., to whom she was married for 25 years and who passed away in 2005. She was also predeceased by her parents, Maurizio Gugliemelli, and Francis (Bez) Gugliemelli, and brothers Moe and Michael Gugliemelli.

She leaves behind a brother Frank Gugliemelli, and her four loving children: Richard Youngs Jr (Casey) Michelle Reilly(Kevin) Dennis Youngs (Marchetta) and Kayla Youngs (Jason) She was also a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren, Katelynn (Truman) Alyssa, Caydon, Dennis Jr, Mackenzie (Myles) Dakoda, Cuyler, Dustin, Calyn, Kevin Jr, Logan, Brezlin, Bryer, and Skylynn with one great-grandchild on the way, who will carry her memory and love forward for generations to come.

In keeping with Joann’s wishes, no services will be held.

Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created and the love she gave will live on in her family forever. Mom, Grandma, you were the heart of our family. Your love was unconditional, your presence was comforting, and your smile could brighten even the hardest days. You taught us that family comes first, and you showed us every day what it means to love deeply and wholeheartedly. Although our hearts are broken that you are no longer here, we are grateful for every memory, every laugh, every conversation, and every moment we were blessed to share with you.

We will miss your voice, your hugs, your laughter, and simply knowing that you were there. Your grandchildren will grow up knowing how deeply you loved them, and your great-grandchild will one day hear all about the amazing woman who came before them. You may no longer be able to sit beside us, but you will always be a part of us—in our hearts, in our memories, and in the love we share as a family.

Rest peacefully, Mom and Grandma. You fought a brave fight, and now you can finally rest. Give Dad a hug for all of us. Until we meet again, please know that you were loved more than words could ever express. We love you, we miss you, and we will carry you with us for the rest of our lives.
