Joyce Murphy, 76, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving children at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital on October 18, 2018. Joyce's courageous fight with cancer will leave a permanent imprint on the hearts of all who witnessed her incredibly strong will and bravery during this difficult time.

Joyce was most proud of raising her 4 children and self-starting her successful business "Dust or Us", which she operated for 20 plus years.

Joyce is survived by her children; Cindy (Jared) Murphy-Pereau, Heather (Geoffrey) Murphy, and Patrick Murphy; grandchildren: Jessica, Sean, Brittany & Conor; great grandchildren: Mya, Jaxson, and Fallon, sister, Marijayne Wernett, brother Charles (Linda) VanVorst, several nieces, nephews, many dear loving friends, and her devoted dog, Tiki. Joyce will be joining her daughter Kelly, her parents, sisters and many other loving relatives and friends who have predeceased her.

Joyce has touched many people throughout the years; her smile, charm, wit and fun loving optimistic attitude will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 23 at 10:30 a.m at The Church of the Blessed Sacrament , 607 Central Ave, Albany NY 12206.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joyce's memory to the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, 315 S. Manning Blvd.,  Albany, NY 12208.
