Watervliet,NY Judith Ann Farrell, 66, passed peacefully into the waiting arms of her mother on April 19, 2023. Her sisters and the caring staff of Samaritan Hospital's ICU were at Judy's bedside. She was visited and supported by the loving staff of her group home many times during her unexpected hospitalization. Born January 28, 1957, Judy lived her life in the care of OPWDD since she was 14 months old. For the past 24 years she resided at the Boght Rd. residence in Watervliet. Her family has always been actively involved in Judy's life. Despite the numerous challenges to her body and her brain, her soul and her spirit were strong. Predeceased by her parents, Helen (Jean) Farrell and David L. Farrell, Judy is survived by her loving siblings Virginia Mahigian (Mark Mahigian), Kathleen Birnbaum (late Kenneth Birnbaum), Cynthia Ferendzo and David M. Farrell, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. The family acknowledges and appreciates the care and personal connections made by the many people involved in Judy's life, in particular Ashley Felman and Jacqueline Rowe.
