HAGAMAN, NY June M. Alois, 94, passed away on September 2, 2016. She was born in Amsterdam on February 11, 1922, and lived in Hagaman for more than 90 years. She graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch High School in 1941 and was a lifetime member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Hagaman. She was married to Robert W. Rossi (deceased) in 1942 and then Ralph A. Alois (deceased) in 1972. As a child, she was a tap dancer. In her adult life she loved to go ball room dancing. She was "feisty" and gregarious and would help anyone…family, friend or even a stranger, if they needed a hand or a little kindness. She loved animals, especially her tan and white constant companion Chihuahua… "Peanut". June is survived by her daughter and son, Roberta Rossi (Malta, NY) and David Rossi (Crockett, CA). She is also survived by 3 Grandchildren: Brandy Bush-Oleksak and Matthew and Joel Rossi, and 5 Great Grandchildren: Michael Jr., Madison and Katelyn Oleksak and Isabella and Giovanni Rossi. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery on Truax Road in Amsterdam.
