Lee H. "Doc" Schechter, DVM, passed away peacefully at home on December 17, 2017.

After graduating from Cornell University he operated his equine practice with joy, love and devotion for thirty years. His famous wry wit, humor and love of animals will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Hillmann), son Brandon, daughter-in-law Milyausha Zakirova and recent joy, grandson Bulat.

A celebration of his life will take place in 2018. Anyone wishing to honor his memory may do so by adopting a pet or donating to community hospice.
