COEYMANS - It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Leslie E. King, at the age of 57, on March 21, 2023 after a battle with illness. She was in the care of Hospice at home and surrounded by family and friends every moment of her journey home to her final resting place with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Leslie was a fun-loving soul. She spent countless hours with family playing games and was at the heart of mischief on many occasions. The family stuck together in good times and bad and the bond can never be broken. Her antics and shenanigans will always be remembered. Leslie was born in Westfield, Massachusetts on January 2, 1966. She grew up in Massachusetts, then Connecticut, and finally New York, where she graduated from Greenville High School. She went on to attend Glenmont Job Corps where she was awarded "Outstanding Business Student of the Year". This was also where she met the love of her life and partner of 35 years, Valerie. Leslie was predeceased by her niece, Alicia Consoli and her Aunt, Linda Fidler among many other dear family members. She is survived by her husband Valerie King, her mother Katherine Engelhardt, two sisters Lorraine McAlister (Linwood), and Christina Addario (Stephen). She is also survived by her three nieces Angela Heinze (Dustin), Andrea Nova (Wilfredo), and Hannah Vermilyea (Jake), and her great nephews and niece: Colten, Benjamin, Gabriel, Ryan, Roman, and Brea. There are also many other extended family members and dear friends who have been very important in Leslie's life and a huge support during her passing. Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. A celebration of Leslie's life will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the: Freehold Firehouse 9502 Route 32 Freehold, NY 12431 Calling hours are from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Service begins at 3:00 pm with food and fellowship to follow.
