Marion Arlene (Wood) Rickmyre SCHENECTADY- Marion Arlene (Wood) Rickmyre, 101, of Schenectady, NY, peacefully passed away on January 28, 2021.  Born December 01, 1919 in Gloversville, NY, she was a 1938 graduate of Gloversville High School.  After high school, she worked at the Woolworth Five and Dime store in downtown Gloversville and then briefly at Robinson Smith Cleaners.  She also worked for the Republican Party many years; she received an invitation to Richard M. Nixon's presidential inauguration in Washington, DC in 1969.  Surviving Marion are her son, Daniel (Shaula) Rickmyre, of Rotterdam, NY and her daughter, Mary Lou (Donald) Pollock, of Melbourne, FL.  Also surviving are five grandchildren: Lindsay (Daniel) McConnelee, Laura Rickmyre, Karen (Michael) Smith, Michael Pollock, Rebecca Pollock, and several great grandchildren.  Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Rickmyre, on November 22, 1999.  They were married in 1940 and celebrated fifty nine years of marriage.  A burial will be held for Marion at a later date in Ferndale Cemetery in Gloversville, NY.
