ALBANY- McKinley Fredericks Jr., 66, of Albany, was called home on December 27, 2020 following a long illness. He was the son of the late McKinley, Sr. and Elsie Neava (Carter) Fredericks. Brother of Barbara Ann Carter-Pope, James, Michael (David) and Robert Fredericks. Long time friend (like a brother) to John Green. For many years Mr. Fredericks was employed by the State of New York in the Office of General Services, from which he retired after 30 years of service. He leaves to cherish his memory, 9 surviving children, as well as 31 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, who loved him dearly. Mr. Fredericks was predeceased by 1 child. Gone from our sight, but never be forgotten, we will always remember fondly that in any circumstance, McKinley would always say he was "MARVELOUS." Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, January 2 at 89 Beaver Street, Albany. Face masks are required and social distancing shall be observed.
