Mona AKA Mom, Grandma, Grammy, Grandmother, Bammy, Sister is also survived by many beloved extended family and friends.

Mona touched the lives of all whom she met in a very unique way. Over the course of 50 plus years Mona had several careers. She was self-employed as a cosmetologist, was an insurance under writer, worked security and held management positions for Hess, Sunoco and Stewart’s for 20 years. She was self-employed cleaning houses when she retired in 2020 to care for Erica full time during which time her own health was declining. Mona loved spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren with whom she was in daily contact through family dinners, visits, facetime, text and talk. Most photos of her grandchildren and great grandchildren that she received daily, Mona printed and created albums for the family. She made and shared many paintings, much diamond art, crocheted blankets for family, friends and for hospice to be donated to patients. Mona was an avid reader. Reading was her rest and relaxation. She read countless numbers books in her life time; sometimes three or four books a week!

Her daughter would like Mom to be remembered for her strength, resiliency, support to her family and the sacrifices she made for her daughters and granddaughters and great grands until her last breath.

Her Granddaughters would like Grammy to be remembered for her strength and resilience and for how caring she was, and for her sense of humor and wicked sarcasm. “She never failed to make us laugh. Sometimes to the point of falling off the bed.”

Her Sister would like Mona to be remembered for her incredible love for her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her Brother would like Mona to be remembered for the love and support she gave her family.

The family Gives Thanks to God for Community Hospice and Hospice Inpatient Unit (HIPU) Teams, and Special Thanks to the Teams for the over and above inexplicable/indescribable care (Medical, physical and emotional) given to Erica in 2022 and to Mona in 2025/2026 and for the love and support they gave and continue to give to the family during these very difficult times.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would appreciate prayers for the Hospice Teams and donations made to Hospice in Mona’s Memory. (C/O The Community Hospice Foundation 310 South Manning Blvd, Albany, New York 12208)
