DELMAR Monica Mary (Walters) Jacobs of Delmar, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed from cancer on Mothers' Day, Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Albany Memorial Hospital, aged 62. Born in Albany on November 10, 1953 and predeceased by father Willmur DeForest Walters (1907-69), and mother Mary Amelia (Derwing) Walters (1922-71). Monica is survived by her husband of 43 years Kenneth, son Joseph and his wife Michele, grandsons Caleb, Matthew, and Benjamin, sister-in-law Patricia Robare and husband George of Colonie, brother-in-law Rev. Charles Jacobs of Hartford, nephew George Robare of Colonie, and many cousins. Monica loved spending time with her family and cooking for everyone. She was very loving and consistently put others ahead of herself. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 14, at 4 p.m., at New Life Ministries, 1858 State Street in Schenectady, Rev. Frank Coons officiating. Floral tributes for the memorial service are to be delivered directly to the church. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to cancer research.
