Pamela Vache´ Borock left this world on September 26, 2025. Pam and her family moved to the Panama Canal Zone in 1952 when she was 3 1/2 years old. She graduated from Cristobal High School in 1967 and attended CZ College until she married. She and her husband moved to Long Island in 1972. She raised three children, worked for several years at the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department and then 20 years with the Suffolk County Court as a court officer until she retired.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert Borock, her daughter Tonya McCarthy and her son William Fray. She is survived by her daughter Leigh-Anne Perretta, son-in-law John Perretta and grandchildren Brendan Borock and Mia Perretta, granddaughters Emma, Erin, Molly and Maggie McCarthy, daughter-in-law Nicole Fray and grandson Will and granddaughter Sophia Fray.
Pam's grandchildren were her pride and joy—she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them and she especially enjoyed giving them cooking lessons and enjoying the results with them. They would often call her for cooking advice or for a favorite recipe. She enjoyed going on vacation with friends and visiting different states and cities. She had a great sense of humor, enjoyed playing cards with friends, and especially loved going to casinos. She remembered practically every joke she ever heard and could repeat it along with the punchline.
Pam loved to cook and feed people – when her sisters came to visit from upstate New York to visit, she prepared more food than they could eat in an entire month, but we somehow managed to consume all of it and still go out to eat at her favorite restaurants. She loved entertaining, was a dedicated shopper and loved a good bargain! Pam lived life to the fullest!
She leaves behind her two sisters, Donna Vache´ Fish and Bobbie Vache´ Buono , and her dearest lifelong friend and college roommate, Carol Smith Dixon , who stayed in very close contact with Pam throughout her illness.
