Patricia "Patty" Ann Costanzo, of Albany ,passed away at age 60 onJune 24, 2026 surrounded by her loving family after a fierce fight with breast cancer. There are no words to adequately describe the strength, courage and resilience she brought to each and every day of her 10-year long battle. Patty was born on September 23, 1965 in Queens, NY.
She grew up in Westchester County and later moved further upstate to attend University at Albany, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in English. Above all else, Patty was a devoted wife and loving mother who treasured every moment spent with her family. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and created countless cherished memories with those she loved. She loved dancing in the kitchen with her daughter Michelle, sharing laughter with her daughter Chelsea, and chuckling at inside jokes with her son Jason. Patty also cherished spending time alongside her husband, Richard, accompanying him on fishing trips, antiquing throughout the Northeast, and occasionally being his "cut man" on job sites. She also enjoyed the countless quiet moments they shared together. Patty found great joy in spending time outdoors. She loved skiing, camping, and bowling. Skiing was a particularly meaningful part of her life, and she proudly worked as a ski instructor for several years.
Patty touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, wisdom, and radiant spirit. Known for he rinfectious laugh and beautiful smile, Patty had a way of making everyone around her feel welcomed, loved, and a tease. Her warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path.

(McDonald) Geisman, her mother-in-law Theresa Costanzo, and her father-in-law, Salvatore "Sam" Costanzo. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends. Patty's love, strength, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of those who love her. Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely will remain with her family and friends always. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. At Patty's request, there will be no formal services.
A celebration of life may be held at a later date.
