Obituary
TROY –
Patricia "Patti" Varner, 86, of Troy, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on July 9, 1938 in Saratoga Springs, New York to the late Dyall and Elizabeth (Hodges) Varner.
Patti was raised in Maryland, but mostly lived in Troy, New York.
Throughout her life, Patti worked at several businesses in sales and service. She was a longtime member of the Mount Ida Preservation Association as well as the Mount Ida Food Pantry. Patti was proud to be recognized by Mount Ida Preservation Association for her support with a plaque as well as being recognized for her beautiful garden and bird sanctuary by the Audubon Society.
Survivors include three sons: William, David and Richard Varner, as well as several grandchildren, and one brother, John Varner.
In addition to her parents, Patti was predeceased in death by her brother, Robert Varner.
Special thanks to the Community Hospice and the staff at Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
