Obituary
Professor Dr. Ramaswamy H. Sarma, 86, of Guilderland NY passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025 at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany NY.
Dr. Sarma was born on May 10, 1939 in India. He earned his Ph.D. from Brown University, Rhode Island. He was a respected scholar and a dedicated educator. Dr. Sarma made Albany as his home and spent many decades contributing to the academia. He served as Professor Emeritus at the State University of New York. Dr. Sarma will be remembered with love and fondness by all his family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances.
He is survived by his beloved wife Dr. Mukti Sarma.
Funeral will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, 50 101st Street, Troy, New York 12180 on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 10:30 AM.
May his soul rest in peace.
