COXSACKIE – Richard Charles Bellnier, age 79, of Coxsackie, NY passed away peacefully on October 23, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Betty (Lillian) Bellnier, two sons, Eric (Karen) and Brent (Melissa), sister, Bell VanAlstyne of Catskill (Bob), brothers, John Bellnier of Plymouth, Massachusetts (Nancy) and Michael Bellnier of North Carolina, and two grandchildren, Nola and Devin. Richard was known as a hardworking man with a kind soul, a playful sense of humor, and a love of animals. Born in Green Island, NY in 1943, he grew up in a family of five with parents, Clarence & Pearl. His love of cars led him to work on the Thruway for several years. More recently, he was the head custodian for Coxsackie High School for nearly two decades, beloved by co-workers and children alike. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, October 28 at 3 PM Saint Mary's Church, 80 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, NY 12051.
