Obituary
DELANSON –
Mr. Richard A. Bordeau, Sr., 68, of Delanson, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Ellis Hospital with his loving family and friends by his side.
Richard was born on July 31, 1957 in Niskayuna, to the late Mary Jane Wilkinson and Roy W. Bordeau. He received his education from Schenectady and Niskayuna schools and was formerly employed by Lowe's as a loss prevention specialist.
Richard was predeceased by his sister Deborah Hall. He is survived by his brother, Roy F. Bordeau of Troy and sister Penelope "Penny" Aldridge (Ron) of Halfmoon, son Richard Bordeau, Jr. (Mackenzie) of Gloversville and daughter Lisa Martin (Scott) of Guilderland.
Richard is also survived by his loving partner and soulmate of 21 years Joy Murphy who was by his side unconditionally; a stepson Matthew Visscher (Jenna) of Schenectady, Angela Burke of Virginia Beach, Natalie Jerome (John) of Schoharie, Robert Miakisz of Duanesburg and 11 grandchildren.
The Family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the ICU Department at Ellis Hospital for their loving care of Richard.
Calling Hours will be Saturday, October 4, 2025 to which Relatives and Friends are invited to visit from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Simple Choices, Inc. & Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, NY 12180. A Funeral Service for Richard will commence at 7 o'clock that evening in the funeral home with Father John Provost officiating.
