SCHENECTADY –

Mr. Richard W. Sutliff IV, age 72, of Schenectady, New York, passed away on January 13, 2026, at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, in Albany, New York.

Born in Glens Falls, New York, he was the son of the late Richard W. Sutliff III (June) and Lois (Larich) Sutliff. Richard was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School, class of 1972. He also served his country in the Navy and is an honorably discharged veteran.

He is survived by his son, Richard W. Sutliff V, and his siblings: Lois Ann Butler (Bob), Craig Sutliff (Cindy), Larry Sutliff, Raymond Sutliff (JoAnne), Gayle Heermance, Brian Sutliff (Becky), Sonia Rawlins (Eugene), Noreen Williams and Spencer Vincent. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings: Gloria Knokes, Micheal Sutliff, Forest Sutliff and Terrie Hanley.

The family wishes to acknowledge the doctors, nurses, and staff at the VA Medical Center for their care.
