IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard A.
Yingling, Jr.
September 14, 1953 – January 5, 2026
ROTTERDAM –
Richard A. Yingling Jr., born September 14, 1953, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 5, 2026.
Richard was a devoted husband, father, and family man whose life revolved around the people he loved. He shared 42 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Lisa (Ross) Yingling, whom he married in 1984. Their love story was one for the ages—Richard proposed to Lisa the very first night they met, and just one year later they were married, beginning a lifetime together built on devotion, laughter, and unwavering commitment.
He was a proud father to Tanya Viveiros (Mark), Shannon Yingling, and Ross Yingling, and a cherished great-grandfather to Madison, Brenden, Jordan, and Ella, who brought him endless joy.
Richard was the kind of man who would do anything for anyone. He was happiest when he was helping others, working on projects around the house, or doing something special for family and friends. He had a deep love for Coke and candy, oldies music, and spending time reminiscing about the past.
His favorite place in the world was the family farm in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, which had belonged to his great-grandparents. The farm held countless cherished memories and remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Richard will be remembered for his generosity, his dedication to family, his hard working spirit, and the love he freely gave to everyone around him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and treasured memories that will live on in all who knew and loved him.
Calling Hours and Memorial Gathering for Richard will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue (corner of Broadway) Schenectady, NY 12306, followed by a Service of Remembrance to which relatives and friends are invited to share a memory of Richard. The interment will be private for the immediate family and will take place in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
