Obituary

BURNT HILLS –
Robert Burgess Bardin Sr., age 89, of Burnt Hills, NY, died suddenly on September 5, 2025.
He was born in Colonie in 1936 to Kenneth and Ruth Bardin, alongside his 6 brothers.  Robert joined the Marines as a young man.  He met his future wife, Rosemary Beaulac, at Guptill's Roller-skating Arena.  They were wed on September 20, 1959.  Bob and Rosemary raised their three boys in Selkirk, NY.  Bob retired from the teamsters and enjoyed retirement with his wife on the Mississippi coast during the Winter.  Bob enjoyed many outdoor activities, including Snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing.  He would spend many hours watching NASCAR, Horse Racing, and Professional Wrestling, though his favorite pastime was bowling.
Bob was a member of the Professional Bowlers Association, had won gold medals in the Team USA games at the age of 65, and coached in the Del Lanes' Junior Program over 2 decades. He had multiple perfect games and an 800 triple to his credit .
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary, and his brothers Richard, Donald, Kenneth (Butch), and Wayne. He is survived by his brothers Bruce and Douglas, as well as his three sons: Robert (Nancy) Bardin Jr and their children and grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Ogilvie, Brandon Bardin, Rhilynn Ogilvie, Kaedin Ogilvie, and Bryson Ogilvie.  Christopher (Cheri) Bardin and their children and grandchildren, Christoper Bardin, Tyree Bardin, Tim (Melanie) Jackson, Elisabeth, Cameron, Jayden, and Steven Bardin.  Jason (Tonya) Bardin and their children and grandchildren, Jessica Vickery, Morgan Lautenschlager, Robert Bardin, Hunter Bardin, Logan Bardin, Chloe Bardin, Lucas Hindes, and Kelsey Vickery.
Memorial Services for both Bob and Rosemary will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 o'clock in the morning at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Place, Delmar, NY 12054. Procession from the Church to the Gerald B.H. Solomon - Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville will immediately follow the mass, where committal prayers will be offered and Military Honors (for Bob) will commence at 11:30AM.
