Robert P. Mathieson, Jr., passed away on December 22, at Ellis Hospital following complications from a chronic illness.  He was born in Landstuhl, Germany Dec. 26, 1956 to Robert Sr., and Shirley Betterton Mathieson.

His father was in the U.S. Army at the time.  Robert had lived and worked in the Capital District for most of his life.  He graduated from BHBL High School and Boston University with a degree in Journalism.

Besides his parents, Robert is survived by his brother, Richard and his wife Susan; niece; Hannah and nephew; Jonah of New Lisbon, NY., an aunt; Dale (Carl) Jenkins of Huntsville, AL., as well as many good friends with whom he shared lots of good times over the years.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.  A celebration of Life is planned for the spring to be announced later.
