Delmar- Rose M. Johnston Rose M. Johnston, 79 of Delmar, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home of Delmar. Born August 24, 1934 in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late Ada Grand and Louis Gaudio. Rose was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren playing games and making them laugh. Rose worked as a volunteer in Watervliet Catholic Elementary School while her son Keith went to school. She later worked at the Watervliet Arsenal as a cafeteria worker. Rose is the beloved mother of Keith E. Johnston (Amy) and grandmother to Ryan and Andrew of Delmar. Also surviving are her siblings, Daria M. Leccese (Rodger) of Greenport, John L. Grand (Sylvia) of Arizona, Ralph P. Grand (Mary) of Stottville, Mary C. Dolan (James Sr.) of Greenport, Doreen Grand-Baretsky (Jim) of Livingston, and numerous nieces and nephews.
