IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rose Murielle
Morris
August 17, 2025
COLONIE –
Rose Murielle Morris, 38, died the morning of August 17, 2025, after a brief illness.
Rose was born on February 4, 1987, in Gressier, Haiti. She was adopted by Jonathan and Sharon Morris, of Pittstown, N.Y., in 2004, and attended Tamarac High School.
Upon completing her education, she worked as a dietary aide at Troy Center for Rehab and Nursing. While working there and raising her three children, she also attended Maria College's Occupational Therapy program, graduating in May 2022.
Rose had a gentle soul, an infectious laugh, and a kind smile that exuded joyfulness and love. She learned how to perfect her egg fried rice recipe for her son, and she loved going apple picking and attending school events with all of her children. She enjoyed visits with her sister in N.Y.C., and All The Siblings' vacations on Lake Ontario, even braving a kayak ride in 2023. She also loved cooking, shopping, and interior design. More than anything else though, she selflessly loved her three children. She will be deeply missed by them and by the whole family.
She is survived by her children, Aiden, Aaliyah, and Ariana Galloway; their father, Fred Galloway; her parents, Jon and Sharon Morris; and her siblings, Julian Torres (Karen Marotz), and Sarah (Dan Cook), Nathan, Benzer ("Ben"), Andrew (Cady Garrity), and Elisabeth Morris; her niece and nephew, Amelia and Elliott Torres, as well as many loving aunts and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents and grandmother in Haiti; her grandmother, Virginia Whitcomb; and her other grandparents, Anthony and Sheila Morris.
A private graveside service will be held for family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Rose's memory to any charity of your preference.
